Posts honoring beloved MLC teachers and employees, over the years
IN 57 YEARS (so far), more than 500 teachers, principals, office managers, administrative assistants, educational aides, specialists, swimming-pool attendants, custodians, and cafeteria staff have come to work in the morning at the Metropolitan Learning Center. In any educational setting, it is the teachers, especially, but all the adults, who make or break the experience for their young collaborators. It has always taken a certain blend of patience, openness, compassion, brains and humor to be an MLC teacher. Listen to and read students' stories and you will understand.
