The MLC Origin Story
Parent and writer-editor Alisa Welch's essay from the September 2018 50th Anniversary publication
ALISA WELCH conceived and wrote the essay below out of fascination with the origins of her daughter's and son's school, and fierce belief in its philosophy.
This devotion set the tone for the entire 50th Anniversary celebration, held at MLC in September 2018, of which Alisa was the main organizer.
Her essay appeared on pages 9-13 of the 80-page publication created for the occasion, which Alisa also conceived and co-edited. The accompanying MLC Timeline appeared inside the front and back covers.
